The I’ve Had Enough of Winter Beachy Workout Playlist

IMG_1497Who is ready to get those happy endorphins jumping while thinking of fun days in the sun? I for one need a break from snow, wind chills, ice storms and below freezing temps. I am dreaming of those hot days of summer. I long to lace up and pound the pavement, sans jacket, feeling the sun’s warmth on my face. I have devised a playlist to take you away while you sweat. How “sweat” it is! I want to take you to a sunny oasis where time sits still, where you are sipping on a coconut water, frolicking in ocean waves, or sitting on the dock of the lagoon watching the sunset. You have not a care in the world, except which palm tree to plant your beach towel under. Come away with me……but don’t forget to sweat. You should be working out at the same time as day dreaming.

Warm me up- tunes for light walking, rowing, cycling

I Feel Good- Beres Hammond
Tuesday on the Rocks- Kes And the Band

Work it out- tunes for your high intensity work. Start to get your sweat on!

Tonight I’m Loving You- Enrique Iglesias (featuring Ludacris)
Dame- Shaggy (featuring Kat de Luna)
Beautiful- Snoop Dogg (featuring Pharrell. The video takes place in Brazil. Nuff said.)
La Vida Es un Carnaval- Celia Cruz
Rhythm of the Night- El Debarge
BodyBounce- Kardinial Offishall (featuring Akon)
Summertime- Vybz Kartel

Cool it down- songs to get your heart rate down and begin your stretch portion of workout

She’s Royal- Tarrus Riley
Three Little Birds- Bob Marley and The Wailers
Margaritaville- Jimmy Buffet.

There you have it folks. My sizzlin’ “I’m sick of Winter, take me to the beach playlist.” Hope it has you in the mood to get moving…or booking a Caribbean getaway. Great, now I’m craving a Margarita.

  1. I love that you have all different types of music on your list…latin/pop, a little reggae and Margaritaville is definitely very beachy 🙂 I am counting down the days until I head downy the shore again and can run on sand.
