I found myself back at the little park across the street for my workout again. My park workouts are strictly for leg days, because I tend to use little or no weights waist down with high reps as I want to retain a lean, toned look for my legs. On upper body days, I have to hit the gym because that is when I lift heavy and need the free weights and machines. Oh the problems of being a T-Rex, I tell ya. Anyhow, enough of my pear-shape peeves. Pear shape peeves! I like that!
Back to why I love my park workouts. I love it because I am outdoors and lapping up every bit that is left of the summer. This sight was a gentle reminder that summer is coming to an end soon:
I love my park workouts because this is my ceiling:
I love my park workouts because I get to hug a tree and stretch simultaneously:
I love my park workouts because it is quiet and serene. I am able to reflect and thank God for sights like this:
I love my park workouts because I am parched afterwards and look forward to post workout refreshment such as this:
Today’s Park Workout:
Jog around park for 20 minutes
3 sets of stationery lunge 1 minute per leg
4 sets of plié jump squats for 30 minutes each set
2 sets of mountain climbers at 30 second each set
3 minute football run
Cool down by walking around park and deep stretch
Now that’s what I call a picnic in the park!
